MEDICAL MASSAGE September 3-October 30, 2008
This course will cover the fundamentals of Medical Massage and the working environment of a doctor's office. Pre-pare yourself for working in Hospitals, Chiropractic Offices and Re-Habilitation Clinic’s. Learn how to follow a treatment protocol, which is useful in any Medical Massage Therapy Practice. Enhance your hands-on skills with proper palpation utilizing Muscle Testing, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Rehabilitative Stretching Procedures, Postural Assessment Tests and more. Discover how to treat virtually every medically referred soft tissue condition using these advanced Medical Massage Therapy procedures. Learn how to document and bill for Massage Therapy and how to get insurance reimbursement for your work. These Medical Massage Courses are powerful tools to enable you to create a successful Medical Massage Practice. A maximum of 70 hours may be transferred from other schools towards Advanced Certification but must be approved by Sterling Health Center's Director of Education prior to enrollment. Advanced Anatomy and Physiology hours may be fulfilled through either classroom or lab work. Core or other elective courses can be replaced by equivalent courses to be determined by the Education Director. The hour requirements for each certification are minimum requirements. Additional hours can be obtained in advanced elective courses selected by students. Tuition: $2,600.00 @ 13.00 per Hour
