We believe that therapists should be judged on their skills, not their looks and we encourage our students to present a professional appearance by wearing scrubs or other conservative attire so that the intent of the massage is made clear by the way they present themselves. Our students are taught to emphasize their skills and avoid any misunderstandings that may arise from advertising in a sexually appealing manner.

Under no circumstances will we accept job postings from sexually oriented businesses nor will we accept job postings from companies who use provocative pictures on their websites, request photos from applicants, or in any way use the attractiveness of their therapists to draw clients.  These businesses may very well be legitimate massage establishments, but in our opinion, continue to perpetuate the confusion by many regarding the legitimacy of massage. We are active in the massage field to establish a professional image for massage therapists and to educate the public about the medical benefits of massage. Massage is much more than having a pretty girl rub oil on your body; advertising that implies such does nothing to help the profession grow into one where massage therapists are recognized on the same level as physical therapists and others in the medical field.

If your business uses these tactics in any way, please find another avenue to advertise for therapists. The conservative nature of our school makes it inappropriate for us to associate ourselves with businesses who value the physical shape of their employees over their skills.

We reserve the right to refuse any job posting request.

However, we greatly appreciate the majority of the requests that we receive as a valuable resource to our students. We value the relationship between local businesses and our school. Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist you in your search for the right graduate for your team.
