MASSAGE TECHNIQUES

 

Any of the following modalities are available:

  • Swedish - Full Body Massage used for both relaxation and muscle recovery.
  • Deep Tissue- Deep Massage using specific techniques to release knots in the tissues, may cause delayed soreness!
  • Sports Massage - Sessions for both pre and post activity can be designed. Excellent for recovery and injuries. Cut recovery time in half.
  • Neuromuscular Therapy - Medical approach to massage involves Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, and more...
  • Shiatsu - Incorporates Chinese and Japanese acupressure techniques. Involves use of hands and feet to apply pressure to various acupressure meridian points.
  • Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) - Focused on deeply relaxing the jaw, scalp and neck muscles.Oriented towards suffering from neck, head and shoulder pain related to TMJ.
  • Prenatal Massage - Massage for women focusing on both pre and post delivery massage therapy techniques. Focuses also on the lower back pain and reduces swelling on the feet and hands.
  • Myofascial Release - This term refers to many techniques including prolonged, gentle stretching of tissue, and slow, deep work often utilizing the practioner's elbow to apply full body weight.
  • Reflexology - Reflexology is the science and technique of manipulating the whole foot, maleoli (ankle bones), and  lower leg.
  • Lymphatic Drainage - Work focuses on facilitating immune and eliminative functions of the body through deep but gentle stimulation of the lymphatic system and organs in order to optimize self-healing.
  • Thai Massage - Thai  Massage is a combination of gentle rocking, range of motion, acupressure, compression, energy work and stretching, and is considered a form of passive yoga
