Simply put, this is a therapy that works with the interrelationship between nerves and muscles. Muscles make movement happen in the body and nerves tell the muscles when to contract (tighten) and when to release (loosen).
The Neuromuscular Therapy Certification Course at Sterling Health Center is a comprehensive course providing the necessary skills for assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and myofascial pain syndromes. It incorporates medical massage treatment techniques from Neuromuscular Techniques, Strain Counter Strain, Postural Release, Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral therapy and others. The goal is to provide the student with an understanding of myofascial pain and dysfunction and the ability to determine correct goals and plans of care. The work is gentle, safe, and effective.
