MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAMS FOR STATE LICENSING

A. BASIC MASSAGE PROGRAM
The Basic Massage Program or Massage Therapy level 1, is 500 clock hours (A classroom clock hour shall constitute 50 minutes). This program has been designed to offer the courses for the Massage Therapy licensing. The program takes approximately 5 to 7 months to complete based on Day or Evening classes and part-time or full-time attendance. Basic Massage program permits the student to perform on an entry level massage therapy and qualifies him/her to take National Certification. The maximum allowed time to complete the program in one and a half times the selected program length.

B. ENHANCED MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM
Enhanced Massage Therapy Program is 600 clock hours (A classroom clock hour shall constitute 50 minutes). The program takes approximately 11 to 15 months to complete based on Day or Evening Classes and full-time or part-time student attendance. This program has been designed to offer all the required courses for the state licensing and National certification and also more practical and course work applications. The program will help students to enhance their massage therapy skills. The maximum allowed time to complete the program is one and a half times the selected program length. The State of Texas requires only the minimum 500 hour course of instruction for licensure as a massage therapist, and anything beyond that is strictly voluntary. Students who enrolled and completed the Enhanced Massage Therapy Program will receive $1110.00 credit for their participation in the program.
